Is the class of 2020 able to participate in the current senior portrait sessions?

At this time we are not able to provide additional sessions for the 2020 alums due to a number of reasons. Some being the Quinnipiac mitigation efforts regarding the spread of COVID-19 on our campus. Focusing just on one smaller population who live on campus and participate in the on campus testing. Another being limited sessions already available for our class of 2021 seniors. Due to last semesters early closure of on-campus operations, we are still working with Lauren Studios to reschedule those individuals. If the situation is to improve where we can accommodate additional sessions we will communicate directly to the Class of 2020.

What have you done specifically for the class of 2020 regarding senior portraits?

Last year when the shutdowns first began, The Summit worked hard to provide a variety of options for our 2020 graduates given the circumstances. Seniors were allowed to have their own photos taken from home or go to another studio in their area to then submit to the yearbook.

You can still participate as long as you are still reporting into campus for the on ground Covid-19 testing. If you are not partaking in the testing or have not been cleared by Health Services, you are not able to come to senior photos. This is a decision made by the QU Covid-19 Taskforce.

How do you determine who can and can not partake in senior portraits?

As a student organization we must follow the strict guidance given to us by Quinnipiac University and the Covid-19 Taskforce. We are given a list of students from IT generated with the help of Student Health Services and Registrars Office. This list will clarify who identifies as an on-campus senior Vs. a remote senior as well as who partakes in the testing and who does not. It is in accordance with the guidance given to us.
